Alan M. Anderson has authored a book entitled Such Good Men: The Duluth Area Medal of Honor Recipients. The book tells the stories of six young men from northeast Minnesota who received the nation’s highest award for gallantry. He also gave a presentation on leadership lessons, drawing on the actions for which the young men were recognized and hosted a discussion on leadership with General Richard Neal, USMC (retired), who previously served as assistant commandant of the Marine Corps. The book and presentation were part of the St. Louis County Historical Society’s 15th Annual Veterans Remembrance Dinner.
